Yep, you read the graphic correctly. Kalamazoo will take the national stage in March as the USA Curling Nationals are held at Wings Stadium.
That’s right, just weeks after the the sport of curling steals the Olympic spotlight from figure skating and NBC’s Olympic trumpeting theme song fades from memory, Kalamazoo will host the Nationals that may even bring gold medal winners to the city.
Instrumental in the city’s selection was the Kalamazoo Curling Club. Tune in Friday for a conversation with Kzoo Curling Club Vice President Jason Hall for the inside details on all the preparations underway.
